Tesla

Tesla is on quite the hiring spree these days in North America. The company is actively looking to fill multiple Vehicle Operator positions. These are essentially test drivers for the company's Autopilot and "Full Self Driving" systems.

The job description reads as follows:

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our vehicle data collection team. The Vehicle Operator role is responsible for capturing high quality data that will contribute to the improvement of our vehicles performance. This role requires a high level of flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Day/night shift positions available. This is an at-will, temporary position. The assignment is expected to last 3 months.

So, as you can see, the company says these people will be responsible for collecting data that will contribute to improvements in its automated driving systems. No specific education is required, but applicants will need to have "a clean driving record, safe driving habits, and a minimum of 4 years of licensed driving experiences".

In the US, the position is available in Elgin, Illinois; Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; Draper, Utah; Austin, Texas; Denver, Colorado; Bellevue, Washington; Marina Del Rey, California; Miami, Florida; Boynton Beach, Florida; Roswell, Georgia; Brooklyn, New York; Tempe, Arizona; Farmer's Branch, Texas; and Peabody, Massachusetts. In Canada, it's hiring in Richmond Hill, Ontario; Mississauga, Ontario; and Saint Bruno, Quebec.

According to information shared by Tesla employees on Glassdoor, the usual going rate for such a position is $20 to $29 per hour.
