Xiaomi

Things are going better and better for Xiaomi on the EV front with every week that passes, seemingly. Today, the company has revealed that its EV and AI business unit (they are combined for whatever reason) has just made its first ever profit in 2025, to the tune of CNY 900 million, or approximately $130 million.

That's from revenue of CNY 106.1 billion, or about $15.4 billion, so the profit rate is definitely tiny, but keep in mind that Xiaomi only started to sell cars in 2024. With that caveat taken into account, this result is quite outstanding.

Anyway, the revenue increased by 223.8% compared to 2024, while the gross margin for this business segment was 24.3% in 2025, up 5.8 percentage points from 2024.

Xiaomi delivered 411,082 EVs in 2025, which is 200.4% more than in 2024. The average selling price rose 7.1% year-on-year to CNY 251,171 ($36,500). The record month for deliveries was December 2025, with 50,212 units. Xiaomi wants to deliver 550,000 EVs this year and hopes the new SU7 will help it achieve that.
