Xiaomi

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production version made its official debut at the end of last month, and within 10 minutes of the announcement, the company had already received 3,680 refundable pre-orders.

At the Guangzhou Auto Show, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun revealed the fact that the SU7 reached a top speed of 223.51 mph during a recent test at the CATARC Yan Cheng Automotive Proving Ground. According to Lei, "what limited the SU7 Ultra's maximum speed was not the car itself but the test track".

So, supposedly it could go even faster. Xiaomi plans to take the SU7 on a big trip across China next year, visiting tracks left and right, and it will also return to the Nürburgring in Germany, where a prototype did a lap in 6 minutes and 46.874 seconds, thus becoming the fastest four-door car around the famous circuit. Over there the top speed reached by the SU7 Ultra was 201 mph.

Lei Jun has also announced Xiaomi's new Hyper-Autonomous Driving (HAD) system, which will undergo internal testing starting on November 16 and is due to get a broader public release next month.

This improves driving efficiency and safety by reducing sudden acceleration and braking, smoothing out the experience overall. It uses real-world driving data to enhance route predictions and adjusts its driving decisions based on real-time conditions.

Xiaomi says HAD can navigate complex environments like narrow spaces, busy intersections, and roads with obstacles. Through a "Vision-Language Model" (VLM), the HAD will better handle complex scenarios including uneven road surfaces, construction zones, and T-junctions as well.

that prototype is not a 4 door saloon and it is not a production car. so, su7 ultra is NOT the fastest 4 door sedan. that prototype has no functional 4 metal doors, no interiors and no passenger seats. even with more than 1000hp, no EV (including rim...
