Zeekr throws shade at Tesla while teasing the 001 FR performance version

Zeekr Tesla

Zeekr is currently teasing the upcoming Zeekr 001 FR, the best performing version of the already available 001 EV.

While the two images showing the model are welcome, the company couldn't help but throw some shade in Tesla's direction in the teasing process. According to Zeekr, "Plaid is dull", and comparatively, the Zeekr 001 FR is "a new type of beast".

As you can see, it's definitely sporty. But with claims like that, we will be expecting nothing less than performance to rival, if not match, if not outright beat that of a Tesla Plaid model - whichever it may be. Will we get that? Only time will tell.

For now, immerse yourself in the glory of these teaser images and "standby for more information", in Zeekr's own words.

The first Europe-bound non-FR Zeekr 001 models left the production line a week ago and are headed to Sweden and the Netherlands, which are the first two countries where they will be sold. Then, at a later date, Zeekr plans to expand into Norway, Germany, Denmark, and France too. In case you didn't know, Zeekr is the premium EV brand from Geely.
