Avatr

Avatr 11, the good-looking luxury SUV coupe developed by CATL and Changan Automobile, just got a delivery date. It's created by China’s oldest automotive company and one of “big four” state-owned automakers. Nio was part of the joint venture in its early stages, but it eventually pulled out. Huawei helped with the development of Avatr 11 as well.

The car starts at $48,100 at current exchange rates and its top of the range version 011 MMV is priced at $82,200. Both versions were launched earlier this year in August and deliveries are already scheduled for December for first lucky customers. The ultra-long range Avatr 11 version will enter production at the beginning of next year.

The 4.88 meters long electric SUV coupe will compete with the likes of Nio ES8 and XPeng G9 in China. The luxurious interior with Nappa leather seats comes with three screens in the front. The center screen measures 15.6 inches and driver and the passenger each get a dedicated 10.25-inch screen. The infotainment is provided by Huawei HarmonyOS.

Huawei provides the autonomous driving system as well, there are 34 sensors on board with 3 semi-solid LiDAR sensors, 6 mmWave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars and no less than 13 cameras.

Both the Avatr 11 and 011 MMV versions come with a 90 kWh battery pack provided by CATL with a claimed range of 555km according to CLTC standard. The ultra-long range model will come with the 116 kWh battery pack and will offer 680km of driving range according to CLTC. Both batteries are built on a 750V platform and support up to 240kW fast charging with 200km of range added in 10 minutes.

All versions of Avatr 11 are powered by Huawei’s DriveOne dual-motor and all-wheel drive system with 425kW of power (570hp) and 650Nm of torque. That is enough to get the car from standstill to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds, but the heavier ultra-long version does it in 4.5 seconds.
