Audi

Audi has announced the integration of the AirConsole app into select models, including the A6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron families that have recently been introduced.

With AirConsole, you can turn your smartphone into a gaming controller and then use the car's infotainment screen (or the passenger display for models that have it) to game, either individually or in multiplayer mode.

You can download the AirConsole app from the Audi Application Store. You can connect your smartphone to the vehicle by simply scanning a QR code. If your Audi has a passenger display, the passenger can play during the drive thanks to Dynamic Privacy mode with shutter technology, which ensures the content isn't visible to the driver.

Each AirConsole game has a "uniquely optimized controller layout for intuitive wireless controller use on a mobile device", Audi says. You will need 4G or 5G service, as well as a myAudi account and an active Audi Connect Plus trial or paid subscription to use AirConsole. This package lets you enjoy in-car Wi-Fi that can also be used for streaming.

The current portfolio of available games includes Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Pictionary Car Party, UNO Car Party, Overcooked, GoKart Go, Golazo, Burnin’ Rubber, Pearls of Atlantis, Trivia Crack, Snowboard Buddies, Smoots Summer Games II, and The Neighborhood. Pictionary Car Party is available exclusively to Audi passengers until the end of the year.
