DS

Last month, DS Automobiles unveiled its latest creation, dubbed N°4. Today, the brand has announced that it's started taking orders for the car in France, and revealed its pricing. The first deliveries will start in September.

The base price is $55,050, and if you're not a business (there's a special business trim for $56,160) you have two upsells - the Jules Verne trim for $57,630 and the Alcantara trim for $60,090.

The base model comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, fabric seats, "basalt black trim with a scale effect" on the dashboard and door panels with Belem Bronze inserts, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED headlamps and Full LED taillights, power folding and de-icing mirrors, Adaptive Cruise Control, automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking assistance with reversing camera, and acoustic laminated front windows.

The Jules Verne edition includes hands-free entry and start, integrated ChatGPT, speed limit sign recognition, active lane departure warning, electric seats, and a wireless charger. You also get "an exclusive bonnet badge", which represents a compass dial topped with Verne's signature, and the signature also features in the satin chrome door sill trim. Inside, the dashboard "reveals the sketch of a compass rose referencing engineering from the adventurers of the time", whatever that means.

Finally, the top of the line version has an upgraded infotainment system, Matrix LED headlights, scrolling turn signals, rear traffic detection, laminated rear privacy glass, aluminum door sills and pedals, and the wireless smartphone charger.

The powertrain initially on offer develops 213 hp and 343 Nm of torque, and delivers a WLTP combined cycle range of 280 miles from the 58.3 kWh NMC battery, which charges from 20% to 80% in 31 minutes.
