Here's the Kia EV2 in traffic in Korea

Kia

Kia unveiled the EV2, its cheapest EV yet, in early January, and today the car has been spotted running around the streets in Korea with no camouflage on whatsoever.

The design obviously matches what the official images have presented, but it's good to see it in motion nevertheless - even if it's only been captured by a very short video. Take a look:

The EV2 is expected to start around $35,000, and to keep the price lower than its stablemates, it uses the 400V platform not the 800V one that the EV6 can take advantage of. This obviously means slower charging, but with the 42.2kWh and 61kWh battery options it probably won't take too long.

You do however get both 11kW and 22kW AC charging by default. Inside there are two 12.3" touchscreens and a 5.3" climate control screen in between them in typical Kia fashion. Performance numbers haven't been published yet, so don't expect much - if these were anything to brag about, we'd have heard them already.
