Huawei

The Huawei-backed Aito has released a feature update to its compatible vehicles, delivering a couple of cool new features. Valet Parking Assistance and Smart Guard are joined by two other rather trivial additions - a new music-learning app and a new infotainment system game.

Huawei releases a feature update to some Aito cars

The Valet Parking Assistance helps you park your car as you've probably guessed. Whether it's an open parking space or a multiple-story parking lot, Aito cars with the Smart Driving package can map the area the first time you enter the premises. Using its built-in sensors, the vehicle will map the whole area and then you can just ask the car to park by itself once it finds a free parking spot. The driver, of course, will still have control over the car and can take over the parking process at any time.

The Smart Guard system works similarly to Tesla's Sentry mode. Once it detects someone coming close to the car or sees another vehicle getting dangerously close, the Aito will turn on all available cameras and record in case of an incident. The system uses various sensors and visual algorithms to predict certain scenarios. That includes vibration detection as well.
