Tesla

Tesla has announced a new incentive to entice buyers to snap up the remaining inventory of its Cybertruck Foundation Series. The Cybertruck has been nothing short of controversial since its unveiling in 2019.

The Foundation Series, a limited-edition launch version of the truck, was supposedly sold out in no time at all. It turns out there are still quite a few available, and Tesla is looking to move the remaining inventory of these special edition trucks by offering a very attractive perk.

Starting December 27, 2024, any customer who buys a new Cybertruck Foundation Series from Tesla's existing inventory will receive free Supercharging for as long as they own the vehicle. This offer applies exclusively to the Foundation Series and is not transferable to other models, individuals, or orders, even in the case of ownership transfer.

The offer does not extend to used Cybertrucks, business orders, or vehicles used for commercial purposes such as taxis, rideshares, or delivery services. Additionally, while Supercharging is free, owners are still responsible for any idle or congestion fees that may apply.

Tesla also reserves the right to revoke the free Supercharging privilege in cases of excessive charging or unpaid Supercharging-related fees. As usual, the offer is subject to change or termination at any time, at Tesla's discretion. So - it's theoretically free for life, but it can change tomorrow.

The Cybertruck Foundation Series is no longer in production, and the remaining inventory is the last opportunity for consumers to own a brand-new, limited-edition version of this futuristic electric pickup truck. As it can be expected, some existing Foundation Series owners have voiced their frustration for not getting the same deal when they bought their vehicles. It just shows that good things do come to those who wait a bit longer.

Sounds like they are desperate to shift this vanity project.
