Jeep

Jeep started teasing the Compass EV back in October, and now we're very close to its actual unveiling which is rumored to take place next week.

The car's production will start in Europe this year, and if you're wondering what to expect in terms of batteries and powertrains it's probably best to take a peek at the Peugeot e-3008 and e-5008, with which the Compass shares the STLA Medium platform.

Thus, we wouldn't be at all surprised if it's offered with two battery packs, 73kWh and 98kWh. The former will be available with both front-wheel drive with a maximum power output of 210 hp, and all-wheel drive with an output of 320 hp. The longest-range battery will only be paired with the FWD powertrain.

The battery system is 400V and you can expect a 20% to 80% charge to last around half an hour on a 160kW DC charger. AC charging should support both 11kW and 22kW (the latter perhaps as an option).

The Compass leans into rugged looks as you can see, so if you're into that then this will definitely be more appealing to you than the Peugeots. There's a wireless phone charging pad near the armrest in the center console, where you can also find the drive mode selector.

The screens are much more rectangular than square, and there are some buttons underneath the infotainment display, including a rotary knob. A head-up display will be supported too.

Honestly, Jeep managed to destroy its brand pretty much perfectly over the years. Stellantis and Renault group for that matter are in pretty much the same spot - if you would to ignore Dacia and Renault latest EV, what they managed to do over the y...

It's a putty to see what Stellantis is currently doing with their brands. Now a Jeep looks like an Opel or a Fiat.... Honestly, they should sell brands to other companies because they aren't making the brands evolving to the to...
