Kia is building a robust EV lineup and has already announced the EV5, EV9 EV3 and the refreshed EV6. What's missing is the EV4 - Kia's take on electric sedans. Well, we now get to see one in the wild, although fully wrapped in camo.
The EV4 was first announced alongside the EV3 as concept models back in October last year, but only the EV3 materialized so far. However it seems like the EV4 is getting closer to launch too.
In a short YouTube video on the Korean channel Healer TV, we can see an EV4 in camo wrap ready to be transported somewhere. The wrap successfully conceals most of the design elements, but it's easy to see that it's not a big departure from the concept model showcased back in October.
We have the low nose, roof extending all the way to the back of the vehicle, creating that sporty profile, along with the roof spoiler.
The headlights are also retained - vertically aligned and extending all the way to the hood. The front grille stays open too.
Of course, the video doesn't reveal the interior but judging by the concept, we can expect the company's next-generation ccNC infotainment system with two 12.3-inch screens, placed in an otherwise minimalist cabin.
Even though we get to see the EV4 now, it's most likely not in mass production yet and Kia itself confirmed that the EV4 will be delayed until next year. The expected launch price is around $35,000, but that's for the Korean market.
I'm happy to see a sedan as opposed to yet another SUV in a grossly-oversaturated segment, but the starting price is $10,000 too high.
