Lucid

About two months ago, Lucid Motors officially revealed its new top Lucid Air Sapphire version and last week the company announced the start of mass production. Now, the first customers are getting their high-performance luxury sedans.

Lucid Air Sapphire deliveries commence

Lucid celebrated the delivery of its first units at Sonoma Raceway in California with a special guest - Ben Collins - who took one of the Lucids for a test drive. The company didn't say how many Sapphires it was able to produce and deliver to customers but judging by the photos posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), there are at least five units on the streets already.

What started as a vaporware is now a reality. Lucid finally delivered its fastest and most premium sedan ever. The Sapphire edition boasts three electric motors producing a total of 1,234 hp and hitting that 62 mph mark in just 1.89 seconds, beating even Tesla's Model S Plaid. But it's not only fast, it can last long too. The huge 118 kWh battery pack is enough to last you 427 miles and offers an impressive 3.61 miles/kWh efficiency.

The Lucid Air Sapphire will set you back a whopping $249,000, but in addition to the more powerful motors, the Sapphire also adds retuned suspension and steering, carbon ceramic brakes, new wheels, sports seats with massage function, etc. on top of the Dream Edition.

Lucid should concentrate on two ends; on the top end, make the Air Dream limited Edition power train & Drive 100 % reliable. And make the limited Edition vehicles a proud reputation next to no one. Then on the lower end; make a reasonably priced ...
