Lucid

Lucid is now finally rolling out an over-the-air software update for its Gravity SUV, which includes hands-free driving capabilities on "compatible highways in North America".

This is part of Lucid's DreamDrive Pro and should obviously make highway driving more comfortable. It also ensures you remain attentive to the road. It supports steering, acceleration, and braking, and when you signal it can change lanes if it's safe to do so. It can also switch lanes on its own in order to pass slower traffic.

With this update, Lucid Navigation integrates the Google Maps Places API, providing "richer, more contextual search results", the official press release says. You can view improved business details, ratings, photos, and parking info. Charging station listings now include more accurate real-time availability and more recent images.

Next up, Adaptive Driving Beam improves nighttime visibility by maintaining the high beams while dynamically adjusting around other vehicles to reduce glare. This is available on DreamDrive Premium and DreamDrive 2 Pro.

There are other new features too, like Advanced Preconditioning View and Predictive Charging Power, which "provide greater transparency into battery temperature and expected peak charging performance before plugging in".
