Mercedes

If you have an Apple Watch and a Mercedes car, you'll be very happy to hear that Mercedes now has an app for the Apple Watch. So you can now interact with your Merc without using your smartphone.

You can check the car's range based on its current location, battery or fuel level, check charging status, pinpoint your car's location remotely, as well as remotely lock and unlock the vehicle. You can also check if the windows are closed properly after leaving the vehicle.

Finally, you can check where your car is parked and then get pedestrian route navigation towards it. There's a compass mode to navigate in areas where mapping is unavailable (underground parking lots come to mind).

All of these features are now available to Apple Watch owners in Europe. A release in the US, China, and Asia Pacific will follow. To use the Apple Watch functions you need to have a Mercedes me account and the Mercedes app version 1.50.0 and later on your iPhone. Your Apple Watch needs to be running watchOS 9 or later.
