Stelato is a one of the five Huawei-backed companies and is a joint venture company between the tech giant and Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group). Since its inception, has launched only two models, the S9 sedan and the S9T wagon.

The two models were announced in September last year, but already got a refresh in November. And now, the two vehicles are getting another upgrade as Stelato wants to keep up with the ever-growing competition in China.

The most notable change is the updated ADAS capabilities. Now both cars are equipped with a next-generation 896-channel image-grade LiDAR system, enabling Huawei's Qiankun ADS 4 smart driving system.

The drivetrain remains the same, meaning customers can choose between BEV and EREV options. The BEV variant is built on an 800V platform with a 100 kWh battery pack supplied by Huawei, while the EREV uses Huawei's Xuexiao system with a 1.5-liter turbocharged generator.

New exterior colors are also added to the configurator, so customers have more customization options.
