Nissan

Nissan is currently testing a new EV on the streets of southern Europe, with a heavy coat of camouflage. It's basically going to be Nissan's version of the new Renault Twingo, and it's going to be called the Nissan Wave.

It's expected to launch next year at a starting price of under $23,000. Aside from the obvious competition with the Twingo, it's also meant to compete with the likes of the Leapmotor T03 and FIAT 500.

The Wave is smaller than the new Micra and will thus sit below it in the company’s lineup. It's unclear if Nissan plans to offer the Wave in markets outside of Europe, but given the wording of today's report that brought us the images, it will definitely be for sale in Europe.

It will sport a 27.5 kWh LFP battery powering a 60 kW (82 hp) single electric motor. It will have a WLTP-rated range of 155 miles. Like the Twingo, it will be made at Renault's facility in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.
