Tesla

Back in August Tesla announced that the Semi was finally headed to Europe, and today the company has published the first details about the European version of the electric truck.

The European Tesla Semi gets up to 342 miles of range fully loaded at 40 tons, which is also its gross combination weight. The range number is estimated at a speed of 50 mph. Its curb weight is 20,062 lb. The Semi also comes with ePTO (electric power take-off) up to 25kW.

It has three motors, an estimated 1kWh/km energy consumption, and will charge at up to 800kW on a Megacharger, recovering 60% of its range in just 30 minutes. Tesla will also offer a Basecharger for depots, which is designed for overnight charging at up to 120kW DC. It will add 60% of the Semi's range in four hours.

On the inside, the driver gets "ample standing room", a coat hook, a heated and ventilated seat, acoustic glass and sound-absorbing materials, and two touchscreens.

One obvious change from the US Semi is the lack of the huge side mirrors - the European Semi seems to have cameras instead. The wraparound LED headlights are gone too, replaced with two strips on both sides. The Tesla Semi will begin deliveries in Europe in 2027.
