Kia

During the  IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, Germany, Kia unveiled its large PV7 EV van, marking the second all-electric van based on the E-GMP.S platform after the smaller PV5. This means the PV7 is just as flexible and spacious, allowing many configurations and variants. Kia plans to introduce up to 23 different PV7 variants over the next few years.

The first ones to launch are the Passenger and Cargo models. The Cargo will be offered with 2 or 3 seats, while the Passenger can accommodate up to 9 passengers for the global model and up to 11 in Korea.

The PV7 will launch with two nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery options: the base model has 71.5 kWh, while the Long Range version relies on a 96.2 kWh battery. The Cargo is said to offer over 298 miles on a single charge, according to WLTP.

The standard configuration is front-wheel drive, but an AWD option is in the works. And depending on the configuration, the PV7 offers up to 268 hp and 420 Nm of peak torque. The van is, of course, based on an 800V architecture, so charging is quite speedy. When plugged into a 350 kW DC fast charger, the van can charge from 10% to 80% in just 25 minutes. The V2L feature is available, so it's perfect for power tools, camping and everything in between.

When it comes to infotainment, the PV7's equipment includes 12.9-inch and 14.6-inch displays with Hyundai's Pleos Connect system. It's based on Android Automotive OS and offers an AI assistant called Gleo that can even control certain features inside the car.

As we said earlier, the platform is very flexible, customizable and allows the design of spacious interiors. Both the Passenger and Cargo measure 211 inches long, 78.5 inches wide and 78.3 inches high. The wheelbase is 137.8 inches. That makes the PV7 larger than the VW ID. Buzz.

The Cargo gets you 6.1 cubic meters of Cargo in the standard configuration, but the High Roof variant bumps up the cargo space to 8 cubic meters. The maximum supported payload is up to 2,646 lb, depending on the variant.

The Passenger model is offered in 7-seats and 9-seat options, with the seven-seater offering Long-Rail Easy Remove Seats, so you can customize the seating arrangements to your liking. The 9-seat iteration, on the other hand, comes with or without a fourth row.

The PV7 is expected to hit the European market by the second half of 2027, with more versions to come at a later date. Prices will be announced closer to launch.
