Earlier this year, Zeekr announced that it plans to update its 7X SUV, but the model is yet to be released. It appears that it will soon hit the streets in its home country, given the recent spy shots that came out, showing the Zeekr 7X being transported to local dealerships for display.
The 2027 Zeekr 7X is expected to offer a significant bump in the battery capacity for the entry-level model, now with an 85kWh pack. The AWD version will retain the 103kWh NMC battery, along with the 784hp dual-motor setup.
Additionally, the Zeekr 7X brings some minor interior improvements like power leg rests for the front passengers and new upholstery. There's also a new Zeekr OS 7.5 infotainment system installed along with a matching center control hub. The ride should also be smoother thanks to the CDC electromagnetic damping system.
Unfortunately, Zeekr hasn't disclosed more specs, but licensing documents reveal a 496hp motor for the entry-level configuration with the 85kWh pack.
Zeekr hasn't put an official price tag on the new model just yet, but it's expected to cost just a tad more than the previous generation, asking RMB 239,800 ($33,650), up from RMB 229,800 ($32,250).
The Zeekr 7X SUV plays a central role in the company's growth plans as it currently represents a big chunk of the company's sales domestically and overseas, so it's no wonder the manufacturer is introducing yet another update just a year after the previous one. The competing Tesla Model Y, Xiaomi YU7 and Li Auto models are forcing the company to respond in a timely manner.
