Peugeot Announcement

Peugeot's E-Rifter just got a facelift. The compact van comes with upgraded styling, new interior tech, and better efficiency.

The E-Rifter will be offered in three tiers - Allure, Emotion, and Excellence. The latter two come in 5 and 7 seat configurations and in an optional longer variant. The regular car is 4.4 meters long, while the Long is 4.7 meters and packs a longer wheelbase and overhang. The 5-seater offers 775 liters of boot space that can stretch up to 4,000 liters with the seats folded down on the Long E-Rifter.

The new E-Rifter brings the model range up to date with Peugeot's new design language with a more aggressive front centered around the new emblem and Peugeot's three-claw light signature. You can configure the vehicle in the new Sirkka Green and Kiama Blue colors. The E-Rifter's appeal is enhanced by high ground clearance, wide wheel arches, side guards, and roof bars.

Inside there's a new dashboard with a 10-inch touchscreen display. The seats are covered in a light grey fabric. The Zenith roof has numerous storage compartments. A move up to the Emotion gets you a new 10-inch digital instrument cluster that can show the navigation system, as well as heated leather steering wheel. Emotion also includes tiredness warning, traffic sign reading, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and speed limiter. Finally, Emotion brings 12 parking sensors and a 180-degree camera.

The E-Rifter comes with the same 100 kW (136 hp) powertrain with 199 lb-ft of torque. However, the EV is now equipped with a heat pump and can push its 50 kWh battery up to 199 miles.

You can have the E-Rifter with either a 7.4 kW charger or an optional 11 kW three-phase charger. There's 100 kW DC support, which makes the 0-80% charge in just 30 minutes. Charging the battery to 100% using the 11 kW wallbox takes around 5 hours, using a 7.5 kW one pushes that to 7.5 hours, and using a reinforced domestic socket takes 15 hours.
