Polestar

Polestar will produce a limited number of its showcase Polestar 2 "Beast" model and the car will go on sale in North America, Europe, and China.

Polestar will make just 270 of these special cars - hence the name - of which 47 will go out to buyers in the States.

The Beast was originally a special version of the Polestar 2 made for the Goodwood Festival. Its dual electric motors produce 476hp - 68hp more than the standard car - the body is 10mm wider on each side, and lower by 2mm, and the car rides on 9x21-inch rims to accommodate 275x30r21 Pirelli PZero Rosso performance tires.

The production Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 will differ a bit from the original Goodwood-bound vehicle. It will ride on 245/35R21 Pirelli P Zero tires, and use the standard 4-piston Brembo brakes. Compared to the regular Polestar 2, the 2 BST Edition 270 has special Ohlins 2-way adjustable dampers, a strut bar under the hood, and 20% stiffer springs.

The Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 has a 78kWh battery with a total of 350kW of power and 680Nm of torque. It will come in either Thunder or Snow exterior colors with a Charcoal WeaveTech interior. There's an optional matte black body stripe, as well as a full-body Battleship Grey satin wrap. The side mirrors are finished in glossy black, and certain details are adorned in Polestar's signature 'Swedish gold'.

Polestar hasn't revealed the price, but interested buyers can apply for pre-order, after which the lucky few chosen by Polestar will undergo a personalized sales process.
