Polestar Tesla

In North America, practically all of Tesla's competitors have agreed to install the Tesla-developed NACS connector in their future cars in exchange for access to Tesla's Supercharger network, and said access is already available for Ford and Rivian.

Polestar has signed up for the North American Supercharger access scheme too, but today it's announcing that it's also gained access to Tesla's Superchargers in mainland China.

Polestar owners can now use Tesla Superchargers in China

Polestar car owners in mainland China can thus charge their cars at any Tesla Supercharger and Destination Charging Station. That's a pretty big feat for Polestar, which is still a distinctly small player in the EV field compared to behemoths like Tesla and BYD.

Tesla's Superchargers and Destination Charging Stations now appear both in Polestar's phone app as well as in its cars when you are searching for charging or creating a navigation route. Charging occurs at up to 120kW DC, and all of the data while charging is, again, available both inside the car through the infotainment screen, as well as in Polestar's phone app.
