CATL SAIC

The battery-swapping EVs initially popularized by Nio are gaining more and more traction. SAIC Motor is now looking to join the alliance, producing several new vehicles using CATL's swappable battery packs.

SAIC will use CATL's SHE: 300750 solution, and the two companies will cooperate not only on the hardware level but also join marketing efforts. Of course, SAIC will sell the models, while CATL will supply the battery packs and managing the related services.

Recently, CATL unveiled two new battery swap standards, naming them #20 and #25, similar to gasoline standards in China.

CATL took the opportunity to announce that 10 more battery-swapping EVs manufactured by CATL's current partners are in the pipeline. There will be one model each yearly quarter for the next ten quarters.
