Sony Honda

Sony and Honda's car joint venture, Sony Honda Mobility (SHM), has announced that the Afeela will be the world's first car to feature PS Remote Play.

This is a feature that lets players remotely stream PlayStation games from their PS5 or PS4 consoles as an in-car entertainment feature.

You will be able to access and control your PS5 or PS4 from the car's interface using the Afeela IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) system. This works for passengers regardless of whether the car is moving or not, and for the driver only when parked of course.

The SHM press release mentions that an internet connection of at least 5Mbps is required for PS Remote Play, and a stable connection exceeding 15Mbps is recommended for a smooth experience.

The first Afeela model was unveiled at CES in January, after having been teased exactly one year earlier.

Honda should pay people to drive/ride in the Afeela using revenue sharing from the Sony ads.
