Xiaomi

At the end of last year, Xiaomi unveiled a new color for its incredibly popular SU7 EV, and this was then billed as a limited edition meant to celebrate the company's 15th anniversary (it was founded in April 2010).

At the time we only had official images of the hue, but that changed today, when the following pictures surfaced in China showing it in a parking lot, just sitting there, looking pretty.

While we assumed this would be billed as red, the official machine-translated name for the color is Brilliant Magenta. Just how magenta it looks to you is a matter of personal choice, of course, but regardless, it's a stunning colorway nevertheless.

It is however one that you do have to pony up a bit more for. This color option costs CNY 9,000 (approximately $1,200 at the current exchange rates), whereas all the other colorways that aren't free come with a CNY 7,000 price ($960). That said, the good news is that it's not a limited edition release after all - we assume Xiaomi saw so much demand for this color that it reversed its initial course, when it did call it limited.
