Tesla

Another day, another Tesla price swing. The company just updated its configurator in the USA, Europe and China to reflect the new prices. They are down between 15% and 19% in the US, but there's a catch. The Standard Range configurations of both models are no longer available. The good news is the Dual Motor configurations for both models are now even cheaper than the Standard Range options used to be.

The cheapest Model S you can get right now goes for $74,990 in the US and $111,280 in Europe. That's the 100 kWh battery pack with dual motor, all-wheel drive and 394 miles range, according to WLTP.

The Model X, on the other hand, is now asking $79,990 for the same dual motor AWD iteration with 100 kWh battery pack and estimated range of 367 miles by WLTP standards. And since this is an SUV and it dips below the $80,000 threshold for SUVs in the US, it now applies for the full $7,500 tax credit making it even cheaper than the Model S for some customers, who qualify for the updated EV tax credit. Unfortunately, the Model S is still above the $60,000 cap for standard cars. In Europe, the Model X is now $117,149.

The highest-tier Plaid options of both vehicles are also cheaper. The Model S drops from $108,490 down to $89,990 in the US for both models. The prices in Europe are now $128,850 and $134,710 for the Model S and X, respectively.
