The Tesla Roadster announcement pushed back to October 15 due to severe weather conditions

The Tesla Roadster release is being delayed once again, but this time the company blames the weather. It was supposed to launch on October 1 and by launch, we literally mean launch. Hopefully, we will see a flying Roadster on October 15.

To be fair, the weather forecast for central Texas on October 1 is indeed bad. Residents should expect high chances of rain, thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind. But if you are wondering why that would matter for a vehicle launch, it's because of what Tesla is planning for the Roadster launch.

The event will be held outdoors at SpaceX's rocket site in McGregor, Texas, near Waco. The plan is for the Roadster to hover around, using a SpaceX-developed cold-gas thruster package, with nobody in the car and spectators far away.

Then again, the forecast shows the weather clearing up within two days, while Tesla pushed back the event to October 15, which is exactly two weeks later on a Thursday.

The whole story starts to look a bit fishy given the numerous delays over the years. If it were the weather alone, Tesla would have rescheduled for a day or two later. Instead, Tesla is delaying the launch by two weeks. Either way, we hope to finally see the final version of the Roadster.
