Volvo

Volvo has began the hype campaign for its all-electric minivan, the EM90. As official unveiling nears, Volvo delivered a glimpse into the interior, which it says is a "Scandinavian living room" on wheels.

The EM90's stretches out over a length of 205 inches, a width of 79.7 inches, and a height of 73.2 inches. This size not only gives it a commanding presence on the road but also enables a spacious cabin that is the most expansive Volvo has ever offered. The vehicle's dimensions nudge it just above the Mercedes EQV, in fact.

Beneath the floor, lies the beating heart of the EM90 - a 272 hp rear electric motor. Volvo's heritage of safety and performance suggests that a four-wheel drive variant may be coming at some point later in time. The EM90 shares its SEA platform with the Zeekr 009, but Volvo's car brings unique design cues, such as the iconic "Thor hammer" LED headlights and an illuminated badge.

Potential owners of the EM90 will get to choose between a 116 kWh battery pack promising up to 435 miles of CLTC range, and the larger 140 kWh option, pushing the boundaries to a commendable 511 miles.

Inside the EM90, Volvo provides a six-seater configuration where each individual enjoys their own 'zone'. Customized entertainment options, an elegant touchscreen, and personalized comfort settings are controlled through the armrest.

The second row is arguably the best place to be in the EM90. Passengers get massaging seats, individual climate control, and conveniences like tables and cupholders.

As if those comforts weren't enough, the second-row lounge seats feature a zero-gravity setting for an extra relaxing trip. Accessibility is enabled by sliding rear doors and adjustable second-row seats leading to the third row.

A panoramic sunroof that stretches across the cabin, offering natural light by day and by night you get customizable ambient lights. The use of materials like Orrefors crystal in the gear shifter and back-lit wood panels add more class to the interior.

The upholstery patterns are allegedly inspired by Scandinavian nature and should invoke thoughts of mountain ranges, Volvo says.

Volvo's EM90 is poised to debut on November 12 and will be exclusive to China at first. Pre-orders will begin on launch day, but we are yet to learn when actual deliveries will start.

Chinese car in and out. This has nothing to do with Volvo. Kinda unfortunate that those Swedes sold their soul to the devil
