VW

Do you remember the VW ID.X shown last year? The EV equivalent of Golf R was so well received that VW decided to put it into production at some point in the future. And then it all went quiet. Until now.

VW spokesperson Martin Hube, confirmed that the GTX is coming next year and it will complete the lineup of facelifted VW ID.3 - that’s right, ID.3 is getting a midlife facelift already. The new GTX will join the hot versions of ID.4 and ID.5 and become the performance line of the electric VW models.

ID.3 GTX will have a twin-motor AWD setup, just like its bigger siblings but if you were hoping it would come with 329hp (245kW) shown in the ID.X prototype - you are going to be disappointed. The ID.5 GTX comes with 295hp (220kW) of power and this drivetrain will most likely be adapted to the ID.3 GTX which will make it a much quicker car since the size and weight difference are quite significant, we can comfortably expect 0-100kmh in less than 6 seconds.
