Watch the Cybertruck obliterate the Rivian R1T and Hummer EV in a drag race

Tesla Rivian Hummer

The Tesla Cybertruck is an impressive EV, from its 800V electric motors, to the innovative body with air suspension, steel alloy panels, and 0.39 drag coefficient. Not to mention its Porsche 911-beating 2.6s 0-60 mph time.

The people over at Hagerty did a solid 28-minute review of the Cybertruck, which is worth a watch on its own. But in it, they compared the Cyberetuck in its top-of-the-line 621 kW (833 bhp), 10296 lb-ft Cyberbeast trim to the Rivian R1T and the Hummer EV Pickup in their respective maxed-out variants.

The results are impressive, if predictable. The lighter and smarter Cybertruck beats both cars off the line and to the quarter mile. Here's the full video, the drag races begin at the 2-minute mark.

Here are the numbers in an aggregated format for you.

Trim Power (hp) Torque (lb-ft) Weight (lbs) Quarter-mile time (seconds)
Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast 845 10,296 6,603 11
Rivian R1T Quad Motor Performance LP 835 908 7,148 11.7
GMC Hummer EV pickup EV3x 1,000 11,500 9,063 11.9

And here's the video Tesla showed at the Cybertruck's sales event, showing the EV beating a Porsche 911 while towing another Porsche 911 - the future is now.
