Hyundai

Hyundai has a neat gift in store for buyers of its 2025 model year Ioniq 5 in the US. They will receive a free ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 EV charger for their home. Installation cost is not included, but this is a nice gesture nevertheless.

And if for some reason you don't want the charger, you can opt to receive $400 in charging credit which can be used with ChargePoint's app in its own network of chargers or at EVgo and Shell Recharge. In total, ChargePoint's network provides access to more than 87,000 chargers across the US.

This offer is available to all customers who purchase or lease a new Ioniq 5 starting on January 1. You have 60 days from the date of purchase or lease to choose either the charger or the charging credit, and if you do pick the charger you have 120 days from the date of purchase or lease to complete its hardwired installation. If you choose the charging credit, you have to redeem it by the end of the 60-day period from your purchase or lease, and you then have two years from the date of redemption to use the credit.

The offer is provided through the Hyundai Home Marketplace, where you first need to create an account and can then choose which gift you want and also get quotes for professional installation of the charger if that's what you picked.

That's nice, but considering the price of the car, less than $400 discount is hardly something to write home about.
