Xpeng

Xpeng has officially lifted the curtain on its latest offering, the Mona M03. It starts below RMB 200,000 ($27,500) and stands out with impressive aerodynamic efficiency.

The Mona M03 has a drag coefficient of 0.194 Cd. This even beats the likes of the Tesla Model S, Model 3, Porsche Taycan, and Mercedes-Benz EQS. Such aerodynamic efficiency translates into improved energy consumption, extending the driving range and improving performance at higher speeds.

While maintaining a sleek sedan-like profile, the Mona M03 cleverly incorporates a hatchback design, offering exceptional practicality and a generous trunk capacity of 21.9 ft³.

The Mona M03 will come in two variants, boasting 140kW and 160kW outputs, respectively. Both will be equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by BYD's FinDreams Battery division. However, specific details regarding the battery capacity and expected driving range on a full charge have yet to be revealed.

With its competitive price point, record-breaking aerodynamics, and practical hatchback design, the Xpeng Mona M03 has the potential to disrupt the affordable EV market. The official launch is scheduled for August, and further details on the specifications and features will be revealed in the meantime.
