BYD gave us a look inside the top trim of the upcoming BYD Song L. Gracing the interior of the Song L 4WD version are seats covered with perforated Alcantara leather, exuding a touch of luxury and comfort. The same material has made its way to partially drape the center panel.

The vehicle boasts a substantial panoramic roof and a 15.6-inch rotating screen. A sleek three-spoke steering wheel sits in front of the driver, while rear passengers get dynaudio speakers and a touchscreen of their own.

he center tunnel includes features like dual wireless charging pads, a couple of cup holders, and a retractable crystal gear shifter that's bound to turn heads. Integrated headrests embellished with the Song (宋) inscription give a nod to its roots, while the button-operated doors reinforce the vehicle's futuristic aura.

The pictured interior comes in gray with a splash of green color scheme that sets it apart from its 2WD trim of the Song L.

Safety highlights include a blind spot monitoring system, marked by a BSD sign on the side view mirrors. A feature that's noticeably absent in the 2WD model.

Designed to give Geely's Zeekr 001 a run for its money, the Song L stands on the e-Platform 3.0. It measures 190.6 inches in length, 76.8 inches in width, and 61.4 inches in height and features an impressive 115.4 inches wheelbase and DiSus suspension system.

While the entry-level variant packs a single electric motor pushing 150 kW (204 hp), the 4WD spec takes things up a notch with dual e-motors delivering a whopping 380 kW (510 hp). Coupled with either of the two optional LFP Blade battery variants – 71 kWh and 87 kWh capacities respectively – the Song L touts a range of 342 miles to 411 miles, depending on the said battery.

Set to venture into the domestic market later this year, this electric fastback SUV boasts a starting price of RMB 250,000, which roughly converts to $34,200.
