Fiat

Fiat is back in the B-segment with the new Grande Panda, a compact and affordable electric car that's advertised as a perfect solution for city driving. With a starting price of just under $29,300, the Grande Panda is one of the most affordable EVs on the market. It's also packed with features, including a 44 kWh battery, 199 miles WLTP range, and an 83 kW electric motor.

The Grande Panda will be sold in markets all over the world. It's built on a multi-energy platform, so it can be offered with both electric and hybrid powertrains. The hybrid version starts at under $22,300 and is powered by a turbocharged 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder engine, a 48-volt lithium-ion battery, and an eDCT transmission.

The Grande Panda EV has a 44 kWh battery pack that provides 199 miles of range based on the WLTP combined cycle. Performance is adequate for city driving, with a 83 kW (113 hp) electric motor. While not a speed demon, its top speed of 82 mph is more than enough for most urban and suburban driving scenarios.

DC recharging at up to 100 kW is supported, bringing the battery from 20% to 80% in 27 minutes. For home charging, buyers can choose between a rear-only 11 kW charging port or a unique integrated, retractable 7 kW charging cable at the front. This clever approach eliminates the need for a separate cable, making the entire charging process much cleaner and more convenient.

The Grande Panda is a stylish and practical car that's perfect for city living. It's small enough to easily squeeze through traffic, but at the same time it's spacious enough to comfortably seat five adults. The interior features a 10-inch digital cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and a wireless phone charger.

As is the case with many vehicles these days, the Grande Panda is uses recycled materials, including plastic from beverage cartons and bamboo fibers. The car also comes with a variety of connected services that can help you save energy and reduce your carbon footprint.

Fiat is offering two special editions of the Grande Panda: the La Prima and the (Grande Panda)RED. The La Prima is the top-of-the-line model and comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, higher-quality fabrics, and a special "BAMBOX Bamboo Fiber Tex" dashboard wrap. The (Grande Panda)RED comes with 16-inch white steel wheels, a "RED" logo on the B-pillar, and a portion of the proceeds from each sale goes to the (RED) organization, which fights AIDS and other pandemics.
