Honda

The Honda e began its journey in 2019 and quickly won many fans with its standout design, compact dimensions suitable for the heavy city traffic and the fact that it was one of the few available EVs at the time. The Honda e even won the City Car of the Year award in 2020.

Honda discontinues its city EV, the Honda e

However, today is the end of Honda e's journey. The company is discontinuing the vehicle, saying it achieved its mission by drawing new customers to the brand. Perhaps the closest successor to the Honda e is the Honda e:Ny1, although it's not exactly a small city car but a compact SUV.

The EV market has grown significantly since 2019 and there are plenty of rivals nowadays so the Honda e is not really competitive. It's a bit too pricey and offers a modest range, so Honda is forced to discontinue it and focus on its newer models.
