Mercedes

Last month, Mercedes officially announced that its EVs would gain access to the Tesla Supercharger network in the US and Canada in February. And today, Tesla has updated its NACS website to include Mercedes vehicles in the "supported" category.

This means that, starting today, Mercedes EVs have access to the 15,000+ Superchargers across North America. If you own a Mercedes EV, you'll need an adapter, which will set you back $185. You'll be able to buy this from Mercedes dealers, it's unclear if it's already available or not.

Mercedes EVs can use Plug & Charge at Tesla Superchargers. This means the only thing you need to do is plug the car in. Charging will automatically start, and payments are being processed in the background when it ends.

For your Mercedes to be able to use Plug & Charge, it requires a free software update that will be performed by authorized dealers. Your local dealer may have already contacted you about scheduling this update, if not, you can get in touch with the dealer yourself.

Tesla's Superchargers will also be integrated into Mercedes' Navigation with Electric Intelligence, so that you will always get the most efficient, time-saving route, including transparent charging stops and charging times. Through Mercedes me Charge, you have full visibility of charger locations, real-time availability, status, and pricing.
