Mercedes

Mercedes is the next car brand to get access to Tesla's Supercharger network in the US and Canada, following Ford, GM, Rivian, Volvo, Polestar, and Nissan.

Today Mercedes announced that this will happen in February. Over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers across the US and Canada will be opened up to Mercedes EVs.

Of course, you'll need to use an adapter, which will become available from Mercedes dealers in the US for $185. In Canada, this will arrive at some point in the second quarter (April to June), with pricing to be confirmed closer to the market introduction.

Mercedes EVs will be able to use Plug & Charge functionality at Tesla's Superchargers. This means you just need to plug the car in and the charging session automatically starts, with payment being processed in the background when charging ends.

For this to work, a complimentary software update will be performed by authorized dealers for Mercedes EVs. Customers who are eligible will be contacted directly by their local dealer to schedule the software update. Charging can also be initiated via the Mercedes-Benz app or the MBUX infotainment system.

Furthermore, Tesla's Superchargers will be integrated into Mercedes' Navigation with Electric Intelligence, which automatically navigates using the most efficient, time-saving route and includes transparent charging stops and charging times. And with Mercedes me Charge, you have full visibility of charger locations, real-time charger availability, status, and pricing.
