Toyota

Toyota is announcing a new vehicle every other day for the last week or so. After the unveiling of the 2026 Toyota bZ and the 2026 C-HR EV, the company is now revealing the off-road version of the former - bZ Woodland, which is basically a twin brother of the Subaru Trailseeker EV.

The bZ Woodland offers the same set of features as the standard bZ, but adds some off-road-specific functionalities and features. Its does however only come with all-wheel drive with the two electric motors and a maximum output of 375 hp.

Since the chassis gains black body cladding, roof rails, and front and rear skid plates, the total range gets a hit and is now 260 miles, down from 303 miles on the regular bZ version. The new bZ Woodland also has an NACS charging port.

Additionally, the off-road version is 6 inches longer than the standard bZ giving you 30 ft³ of extra trunk volume. The vehicle also provides 8.3 inches of ground clearance, which is about 1 inch more than the normal bZ.

The X-Mode for off-road driving is also available, but that's not unique to the Woodland, as the vanilla bZ has it too.

While the standard bZ is supposed to arrive in the US in the second half of this year, the bZ Woodland is expected to come alongside the C-HR EV in early 2026.

More lumps and bumps than a Walmart shopper, retains the almost impossible to view instruments and the black plastic front quarters, at least has a rear wiper. Still barely competitive range and charging. Toyota can style a lot better: See the Prius,...
