Nissan

Nissan unveiled the new, 2026 Leaf back in June, and today it's finally ready to share pricing and availability information for the US market.

The car will reach Nissan dealerships "this fall". It starts at a pretty impressive $29,990, which makes it the cheapest EV currently on offer in the US. It's also cheaper than the original Leaf, which launched 15 years ago at $32,780.

The entry-level S+ trim is the one with that price, and it comes with 18-inch steel wheels, normal LED taillights, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen.

If you go up to the SV+ trim, which costs $34,230, you get 18" aluminum alloy wheels and a 14.3" infotainment screen, along with integrated LED turn signals.

The top trim is Platinum+, yours for $38,990, which comes with a heated steering wheel, 19" aluminum alloy wheels, the "3D holographic taillights", multicolor ambient lighting, heated mirrors with memory, roof rails, a dimming panoramic roof, a motion-activated power liftgate, a 10-speaker Bose sound system, a head-up display, automatic windshield wipers with rain sensor, a frameless auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and a vehicle-to-load plug.

All versions come with a 75kWh battery with 303 miles of range and a 160kW (214 hp) motor with 261 lb-ft of torque, and a 7.2kW onboard AC charger. A 10% to 80% charge on a fast DC charger takes 35 minutes, and the car has the NACS port built-in, with support for Plug & Charge at more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers.
