DS

DS revealed some key specs and features of the upcoming No.4 E-Tense crossover EV, which the successor of the DS4. The car doesn't aim to tackle the full-fledged SUVs on the road, but sits in the middle between a compact car and an SUV, similarly to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6.

The No.4 E-Tense gets a 58.3 kWh battery offering a total range of 280 miles according to WLTP. Engineers used new chemistry and 18 modules to save on space and improve energy density.

The listed trunk space is 390 L, which expands to 1,260 L with the rear seats down, however. DS offers just one configuration with a front-mounted 213 hp/343 Nm electric motor, which is enough to accelerate the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.

The charging rate is up to 120 kW at a DC charger, which is enough to go from 20 to 80% in 30 minutes, while 62 miles worth of range will cost you 11 minutes on the charger.

Dimensions are nothing unusual - 4,400mm length, 1,830mm width and 1,470mm height, while the wheelbase measures 2,680mm.

Depending on the configuration you choose, you get a heads-up display, a night driving infrared camera, and proprietary Iris System software with ChatGPT integration, supporting natural language input and human-like conversations. The No.4 also gets a new digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch central touchscreen running on the latest software from DS. Some users will likely appreciate the V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) feature, which allows you to power external devices using the car's battery.

As of now, we only know the pricing in the UK. The vehicle is expected to start from £36,995 for the PALLAS trim, while the more premium ETOILE trim will cost £41,860. The No.4 E-Tense is expected to hit the market sometime in Q4 this year and orders are already open in the UK.
