Maserati has unveiled a one-of-a-kind version of its all-electric GranCabrio Folgore convertible. This bespoke EV pays homage to Tignanello, a celebrated Italian red wine produced by Marchesi Antinori, a family with a winemaking legacy spanning over six centuries.
The GranCabrio Folgore, Maserati's third all-electric model, boasts an 800V platform and three electric motors with a combined output of 829 horsepower, making it a worthy tribute to the iconic wine. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tignanello, Maserati's custom design team, Fuoriserie, crafted a unique GranCabrio Folgore, taking inspiration from the Tignanello vineyards, cellars, and even its classic label.
The exterior of the custom GranCabrio Folgore features a bespoke "Terra di Tignanello" paint, a chestnut hue mirroring the vineyard's soil. The warm, coppery burgundy undertones evoke the wine's rich red color, while a metallic tint adds a touch of sophistication.
The car's rims and brake calipers are a sleek matte and gloss black, respectively, while the emblems are finished in copper, with the Maserati logo in glossy copper. The soft top fabric is also black, completing the elegant look.
Inside, the seats are adorned with leather embellished with a unique silver and burgundy ribbed weave made from Vegea, an innovative spreadable fabric derived from vineyards, echoing the barrels used to age Tignanello.
This remarkable GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello will be auctioned off for charity at the Festival Napa Valley's "Arts for All Gala" on July 14th. It's a rare opportunity for collectors and wine enthusiasts alike to own a piece of automotive and winemaking history while supporting a worthy cause.
