Polestar

Within three years since its birth, Polestar has managed to produce over 150,000 cars, the Swedish brand proudly announced today. The first volume car for the brand to enter production was the original Polestar 2 in 2020, and today deliveries of the new and upgraded Polestar 2, announced back in January, have also commenced.

In the UK there are apparently already over 20,000 Polestar 2 cars on the roads, according to the company. It's no surprise then that Polestar has been the fastest growing car brand over there in the first seven months of this year, with new vehicle registrations growing by 174% compared to the same period in 2022.

The new Polestar 2 Long range Single motor is now certified for up to 406 miles of WLTP range, and the maximum DC charging speed is now up to 205 kW for versions with the new 82 kWh battery.

Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath said:

The upgraded Polestar 2 is the best version to date. With improved software, better quality, longer range and faster charging, it is the basis from which we continue to grow our business.
