Nio

Nio is in the process of transitioning its models from the NT 1.0 platform to the newer NT2.0. The ES8 already made the switch and the ES6 will seemingly be next in line.

A picture of a heavily camouflaged SUV built on the NT 2.0 platform surfaced online and the size clearly indicates we are looking at the ES6. It is difficult to gather much information from this one shot, but with testing on the road already in progress we should get more details soon.

On November 10, Nio's CEO William Li announced his company's plans to launch five new models by H1 2023 and the ES6 will most likely be among them.

Previously we saw the EC7 and the new ES8, with deliveries set to begin in May and June 2023, respectively.

The updated ES6 is highly anticipated as it is the company's most affordable SUV and has consistently been the top seller in the range. According to data from Nio and the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), the ES6 accounted for 46% of Nio's total deliveries of 71,556 units from January to August 2022, with 32,877 units of the model being delivered during this time period.

Nio may also release a station wagon or shooting brake version of the ET5 in the near future as we already saw spy shots of that.
