Tesla

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has some news today about the ridiculously named "Full Self Driving" (FSD) package that isn't actually providing "Full Self Driving" in any shape or form.

According to Musk, after February 14, you won't be able to purchase FSD as a one-time payment. Instead, the only option you'll have is to get it as a subscription, because of course everything needs to be a subscription these days.

Tesla will stop selling FSD after Feb 14.

FSD will only be available as a monthly subscription thereafter.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) January 14, 2026

The FSD subscription is $99 per month, by the way, while the one-time payment option is $8,000. That means you'll only reach that amount after having subscribed for 80 months, or more than six years, so the deal isn't as bad as it may seem initially.

Typical technique of using excuses to misdirect. Theft is theft. Removing a function already paid for and putting it behind a paywall should be criminal. Did Autosteer+TACC just get stolen from every existing user?

The site admin clearly watches the videos of FSD going coast to coast without any interventions or mistakes, the robotaxis that are WORKING at this moment, and videos of actual owners using FSD on social media. And yet, he/she hates Tesla so much tha...
