VW Teaser

Last month VW started aggressively teasing the upcoming ID. Buzz van / "people mover", but the marketing materials only looked at the exterior on that occasion. This has finally been rectified today, through a new set of images, this time showing us what the exciting new EV will be like on the inside.

And we have to say, it's definitely very colorful! There are some nice small touches here and there too, including details from the historical T1 camper van. The ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo are also VW's first two models featuring completely animal-free materials.

The steering wheel rim is made of polyurethane but has the same look as leather and a similar feel, while the seat covers, floor coverings, and headliner are made using materials from recycled products. One fabric option will, for example, be made from Seaqual yarn, whose threads consist of approximately 10% marine plastic and 90% recycled PET bottles. The ArtVelours Eco upholstery used in the ID. Buzz for the first time also comprises 71% recyclates.

The ID. Buzz will be available in seven single color interior options, and four two-tone color schemes, one of which was showcased today. The theme seems to be "white + fresh colors", and the hues correspond to the exterior paintwork and can be optionally reflected in the seat cushions, dash panel, and door trim. Background LED lighting will be available as an optional extra, with up to 30 colors for "atmospheric accents", VW says.

Individual ID. Buzz motifs decorate the interior in various places - there's a bottle opener and an ice scraper waiting to be discovered upon a careful glance. Although not shown directly in these images, the dashboard's design seems to be heavily "inspired" by the one in the ID.4 that the Buzz is based on, which is a good thing or a bad thing depending on your thoughts on the matter.

The ID. Buzz will be fully revealed on the evening of March 9, so if you're anxious to hear all the details about it, the wait is almost over.

Very disappointing 😞 😕 No small concept in production only this ugly big thing. I hope 🙏 vw will not sell a lot to see their stupid mistakes not bring the real bully prototype with his small factor in to production
