Xiaomi has locked in 75,723 orders for the SU7 as of April 24. The number was unveiled by company founder Lei Jun at the start of the Beijing auto show.

These are locked-in orders, where buyers have opted for a non-refundable deposit that they will be losing if they don't end up buying the car.

Jun continued to say that Xiaomi aims to deliver over 10,000 units in June, which is in line with the target set the other day.

Lei Jun announced that Xiaomi will keep its EV business "100% focused" on the Chinese market in the next three years.

The tech-company-turned-automaker has advanced deliveries of the standard and Max SU7s to April 18 - nearly two weeks earlier than planned. Pro models are expected to start deliveries by the end of May.
