XPeng

Just a day after XPeng teased its upcoming flagship SUV, the XPeng GX, a Chinese media outlet reported that the company is currently testing L4 autonomous driving on the said model.

XPeng is testing Level 4 autonomous driving on its upcoming GX SUV

Even though it wasn't explicitly made clear in the teaser post on Weibo yesterday, it was sort of implied that the GX will offer Level 4 autonomous driving. Will it be a standard feature or an add-on? Only time will tell.

In any case, the report says that a camouflaged XPeng GX has been spotted in the streets of Guangzhou, with signs that the vehicle is undergoing testing for Level 4 autonomy. That's hardly a surprise given that XPeng is considered to be one of the automakers with the most advanced autonomous driving solutions.

The GX will likely feature four Turing AI chips, which are developed by XPeng. Each silicon provides around 700 TOPS of computing power, enough to enable advanced autonomy.

Ahh Xpeng, the company that was caught stealing Tesla self-driving technology. I'm sure they've already perfected it.
