BMW will unveil its revolutionary Panoramic iDrive display at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 in Las Vegas. This cutting-edge technology will debut in the Neue Klasse, BMW's upcoming lineup of electric vehicles built on a dedicated EV architecture.

The Panoramic iDrive is the company's latest take on car interfaces. It ditches the conventional instrument cluster and central touchscreen and replaces it with a single display that stretches across the entire dashboard. The panoramic display promises to show all the vital information, navigation, and entertainment, while minimizing distractions.

BMW's driver-centric design includes the relocation of critical driving data to a head-up display (HUD). This ensures that drivers can keep their eyes on the road while accessing essential information. The elimination of the traditional iDrive rotary knob streamlines the center console and further emphasizes the minimalist aesthetic.

The Neue Klasse will introduce a range of EVs, starting with the second-generation iX3. This model will be released in late 2025 and will be manufactured in Europe, unlike its predecessor, which was produced in China. Following the iX3, the i3 sedan will join the Neue Klasse family in 2026, using the same innovative interior design.

The official unveiling of the Panoramic iDrive will take place at BMW's CES press conference on January 7. Hosted by comedian Tim Meadows, the event will feature presentations by Frank Weber (BMW Chief Development Officer), Adrian van Hooydonk (Head of BMW Group Design), and Stephan Durach (Head of UI/UX Development).

BMW plans to integrate Panoramic iDrive technology into future combustion engine models, including facelifts and next-generation vehicles.
