BMW Group just announced a partnership with AirConsole to bring casual gaming to BMW cars in 2023. It will come as a response to Tesla's Steam integration and Ford's gaming features.

BMW to offer casual gaming in its cars in 2023

AirConsole is a gaming platform and the companies claim that BMW's Curved Display is a perfect match for the platform. It would require you to use smartphones as controllers and the pairing process would be via QR codes - pretty straightforward.

From what we were able to gather from the press release, games specifically for BMW cars are being developed so we would guess that single and multiplayer arcade type of games are in order. We'll keep an eye on that one and keep you posted as more details emerge.
